KAM, Lubbock, TX

Today our team started off by going to the university to eat lunch with the students there. We encouraged the students to be intentional in where they sat in the Mensa in order to meet people and build a relationship with them...

I ate lunch with 2 girls from the pink team. One of them saw an Asian lady and said "Let's sit with her." So we did and began talking about life. After lunch, she came with us to the park and joined our house church. We found out that she is a believer of Jesus Christ and she shared her story with us and asked that we would pray for her father who is not a follower. We spent some time praying for her father, in English, German, and Chinese. It's amazing to know that the Lord bends his ear to listen to the pleas and cries of his children. As a team, we were able to encourage her and help her see how see could "plow and sow" for her co-workers, classmates, friends, and family.

Hey guys things are going smooth. During lunch I met a guy from Bolgaria and we just talked and developed a relationship. Pray that God will open a door to bring him to Christ. I will see him again Thursday and Friday at lunch. Oh I called my parents and woke them up at 12:00 AM and pray that I will get lots of rest with little sleep. Well shoot me an email and I;ll check them here. It is cheerfulturtle@ev1.net. And mom, turn off my computer so I get the mail. Anyways things are great and thanks for all yall's help. Cowboy up.
P.S. I played soccer for 1 1/2 hours in the rain. (YES!)

Hey yall,
Today was so awesome. We were sowing today. AKA-building relationships with people. We ate lunch on the college campus and some people in my group met people. One of them was a girl from Asia. We found out that she was a Christian. She shared her story and we told her ours. It was a really cool experience. Then we went to the park to talk to people. At first all I did was just prayer walk. At first I was not able to find anyone to talk to. Then I found an older man at the river fishing. I talked to him for about 20 minutes. I don't think he was really interested. But it was still a cool experience. Then I went on to a field where some people in my group plaing soccer with 3 guys. So I jumped in the game. It was the funniest thing ever. Especially when it started raining, it made it even funnier. Any way God worked in us today> I had fun. See ya.
P.S. Happy B-day Zach!

Today was an amazing day! After lunch at the college, we went to the park where KC and I found ourselves on the swing set. We got to talk to a single mom and her sweet 2-year-old son. Then we played with two 5-year-olds who were precious! After a conversation with a young couple, I met up with the guys and played an hour long game of soccer with M, N, and S who we are playing with tomorrow. Pray for this relationship. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Much love-A!

Mom, Dad, Carson and Jonathan,
Today we ate at the college and I sat with a lady from Asia. She was really sweet and I showed her a picture of J.P.A. She went to the park with us and we learned that she is a believer and she told us her story. At the park A.L. and I met a mom and her 2-year-old son on the swings. After that I was walking on a balance beam and a 5-year-old boy and girl came up to us and we chased then around the play ground. They left when it started raining and we met a young couople that said my accent was hard to understand. I really think we planted some seeds today and maybe we will get to visit with these wonderful people some more. I love yall.

Hey, today we began "sowing" or starting relationships. The only person I got into a conversation with was a man neamed Stephen. He sold car parts for a living and had been on a school trip to the USA in the high school. He had to leave before I could share Christ with him but hopefully. I took him a step closer. That's why they call it "sowing" because I planted a seed. It rained again today so I wasn't out as much. There also weren't very many guys there to talk to either; the festival had moved out last night. I miss you guys and I don't think I'll have a chance to call and the internet cost time and 70 cents a minute.

Hey homies! Today we sowed and plowed some more. We met a girl at lunch in the FHS. She is from Asia. I let her listen to Toby Mac on my iPod and she liked him. (Heck yes Amanda! Home girl liked Toby!) She came to the park with us and we found out she's apart of the family. So it was great encouraging her and praying with her. Then at the park, two other girls and I talked to 3 girls from Spain. We shared a whole lot and exchanged email and everything. Pray for my health and energy. I didn't feel so good today and there are times when I'm pretty exhausted. Pray for the 3 girls. I saw a spark in their eyes. Love everyone!

Hi everyone!
Today was an awesome day! We had the opportunity to talk to thes three girls. They seemed to be interested in what we had to say. One of the girls really listened when we were telling her about our beliefs. We all felt that God was really moving in our conversations.

Today was so much fun. I felt led to pray for the kids as they talked to people in the park. The kids in my trek are amazing. We started out w/ beautiful weather and then it poured. The kids played soccer, anyway. We looked like wet rats. We met a girl from China at the university and she went to the park with us. She was a Christian. It was a great day. Looking forward to tomorrow. Going to try to call home, tonight. Miss you guys.

Today was great! Dinner at the FHS was neat. Many people were there. Then at the park, we prayer walked and sowed. I met this older man early. I thought he was not being kind. Later during the day, he rode his bike after me to talk to me. We then talked for 30 minutes. It was great just to show a little of God's magnificent love. :)
